If #FollowMe is very short, it’s because it cuts to the chase. Limpid scenario, straightforward message. In complete harmony with its subject, the photography looks contemporary, prettily colour-graded but without trying to be excessively sophisticated. The very good editing contributes to this digital and trendy mood, where coherence and irony intertwine. Direct sound-takes are the technical drawback of this short-film, although the lines are rare and quite secondary in the apprehension of the story.

Within this visual narration, one can only pay tribute to the acting— the main actress Alessandra Merlo is at the same time natural and impressive, especially in this final scene that makes the whole significant.

In addition, here’s an always-enjoyable extra: the film has got an as brief as effective trailer! (an often-neglected art, here very fitting)

Conclusion

Modern, simple, intelligent.
